Sikkim Express

Sikkim Express is the English local newspaper published daily in the State Sikkim. The first Sikkim Express publication had had started on 1976, within the year of state's merger with India. Newspaper's motto as printed on the top of the front page is "Of this land, for this people". This 8 column newspaper is particularly focused on State's political affairs, featuring sports, periodic articles and classifieds.

Sikkim Express with registration no. WB/SKM/2/10 is owned by Ms. Maala Rana Patro, and printed at Choice International, Nam Nam, Gangtok. Amit Patro is the Editor of the newspaper and Sarikah Atreya is Associate Editor. Sikkim.

Milestones

On January 1986 Sikkim Express was awarded best small Newspaper(English) in India, On April 2001 celebrated its Silver Jubilee. And on February 2006 it was the first newspaper in color publication.
